Dr. Craig Conner
Dr. Craig Conner has been the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Panama City, Florida since 1998. Each week his messages are broadcast thru regional television stations and worldwide through the internet. Dr. Conner’s expository and practical messages challenge the hearers to live out their Christian Faith.
Dr. Conner has served churches in Dothan, AL and Gulfport, MS. He is a sought after speaker for conferences and revivals. Through Dr. Conner’s leadership and vision to impact the world for Christ, First Baptist Church of Panama City has sponsored international mission trips to Venezuela, Brazil, Thailand, the Bahamas, and Holland. First Baptist Church of Panama City has planted a church in Brazil to reach the unreached people group known as the Quilombolas.
Pastor Conner received the Bachelor of Theology degree from The Baptist College of Florida, Masters of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Ministry from the Trinity Theological Seminary.
Dr. Conner is the author of three books, “Principles for Powerful Living: A Study of the Beatitudes”, “Humiliation to Exaltation: The Paradox of Prayer”, and “The Lions in Daniel’s Den: A Study of the Book of Daniel” and is the founder of Touch of Grace Ministries, Inc.
He and his wife, Karen have three children and nine grandchildren.

Bill is married to Myrna and they have two children and two grandchildren: Nina and her two sons, JC and Noah; Caleb and his wife Molly. He has been in the ministry for over 25 years serving churches in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. Bill joined our staff team in 2007 and has worked along side of the Pastor in providing leadership of our church as we have impacted the community and the world from Grace Ave. He enjoys spending time with his family and pulling for the Tide.
Associate Pastor/Pastoral Care
Clyde grew up in Jacksonville, FL and is married to Marcia. They have two grown daughters and four granddaughters. On Sunday, February 11, 1989 at First Baptist Church, Hilliard, Florida, Clyde accepted the call to enter the ministry. In September 1989, he resigned from the Postal Service, moved his family to Dothan, Alabama and served on staff at Bethel Baptist Church as Minister of Education. While on staff, Clyde attended the Florida Baptist Theological College in Graceville, Florida and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Education. He served at Bethel Baptist Church for 6 years. In January, 1996, Clyde felt God’s leadership in the call to Springhill Baptist Church in Fernandina Beach, Florida where he served as Associate Pastor/Minister of Education for 4 years. In April 2000, Clyde accepted the call to First Baptist Church of Panama City and for the past 15 years, has served in several ministerial roles. Since 2006, Clyde has served as Associate Pastor, Pastoral Care. This includes counseling, hospital, nursing home and homebound visitation, as well as, officiating funerals and weddings.
Clyde believes God called him to be a servant-leader, first in his home and then in the churches which God has placed him to serve for the past 25 years. He looks forward to many more years with the First Family. What brings Clyde the greatest joy is being with his family and shepherding the flock of God.
Ken Brookins is a Panama City native. Growing up in Bay County Ken found a home here on the Emerald Coast. Even though college took him away to Mississippi, God had a greater plan for him through his gift of praise and worship back at home. While serving at a church just following his college years, Ken met Jennifer and was soon after married in 1982. Ken continued his education inTheological Seminary and graduated from Southwestern Baptist.
Ken and Jennifer have made Ken’s hometown home for the next generation as well. They have two children Clay and Kristen who both have started families of their own. Ken’s passion for music is overshadowed only by his love for his family. When Ken relaxes he enjoys studying American history and world religions, and toys around with metal detecting. Ken and Jennifer call First Baptist their home and experience the joy of the Lord each week through serving Christ at First Baptist Church.
Associate Pastor/Education and Missions
David Flatt grew up in central Florida. In 1984, David knew God had called him to full time ministry. Through this calling, David spent the next 25 years working with students. During this time, During this time, David married his wife Barbie. They were blessed to start a family when they gave birth to their daughter, Brooke, who is working on her undergraduate degree.
“In 2009 David began serving as our Missions pastor, an area he had always had a great passion for. In 2013 he stepped into a role with the Education team as Minister of Education. David loves Gator Football, cooking, and dreams of being able to play golf without losing multiple balls.
Associate Pastor/Community Evangelism
Rick McClung grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and gave his life to Jesus Christ in November of 1984 three weeks after his 28th birthday. He and He and his wife Vickie moved to Panama City, Florida in August 1987. In 1989 he was called to full time Christian service while serving the Lord in a local church here in Panama City.He and his wife Vickie moved to Panama City, Florida in August 1987. In 1990 Rick began his first ministry position where he served as Minister of Outreach until November 2000. In November 2002 Rick began to serve in his current position as Minister of Community Evangelism at First Baptist Church, Panama City. Most of his time and energy is spent as the Director of “The Most Excellent Way” ministry at First Baptist. He and his wife have four children.

Shane is from Panama City, FL where he has served in student ministry since 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ministry from the Baptist College of Florida. Shane and his wife, Jessica were married in 2005. Together they have a son, Carson and a daughter, Kloe. Shane spends most of his spare time with his family, and he also loves spearfishing and movies.
Minister of Childhood Education
Ginger was born and raised in Tallahassee, Fla. She is married to Mike Owens. Together they have 4 children, Marie, Chris, Brant and Adrianne. They have six grandchildren that live in Thomasville, Ga. She has worked with children since she was 16 yrs. old. She has a passion for children and sharing the love of Jesus with them. Her hobbies are walking on the beach, bike riding, photography and spending time with their grandchildren.
Hugh & Betsy Redmon
Minister to Hispanics
Hugh is married to Betsy. Their children are Christina, Celsa and Alan. Hugh met Betsy in Venezuela where he served as a Missionary and Church
Planter for 29 years. Hugh joined the First Baptist Church staff in May of 2012 to begin the Hispanic Church. Hugh graduated from Southwestern Seminary. Hugh enjoys fishing and being on the water. He also loves to watch international soccer, especially the Spanish League.
